Introducing the Ngawang Choephel Fellows Program
The University of Virginia Tibet Center is pleased to feature the Ngawang Choephel Fellows Program (NC Fellows Program), an international leadership and entrepreneurship initiative dedicated to supporting emerging Tibetan entrepreneurs and community leaders. Named in honor of Ngawang Choephel, a renowned Tibetan scholar, musician, and cultural advocate, the program provides participants with opportunities to strengthen their professional skills, expand their networks, and develop innovative approaches to creating positive change within their communities. The program brings together fellows from Tibetan communities and U.S. professionals through exchanges, mentorship, training, and collaborative learning experiences, fostering cross-cultural understanding and lasting partnerships. Through this work, the NC Fellows Program helps empower a new generation of leaders committed to strengthening Tibetan communities while preserving their rich cultural heritage.
